The shortlist for The Appys 2012 has been announced. The awards ceremony, which will take place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on November 29th, aims to reward the best in Irish and international app development and design. This year Facebook apps were also judged.
The organisers say that this year, the third year of The Appys, the quality of the apps entered has been impressive.
“It’s amazing to think that the app economy is so young,” says Des Doris, event organiser, “because the level of sophistication we saw in this year’s entries was eye opening. We received hundreds of entries and the judges did an excellent job in putting together the shortlist. I’d like to thanks the judges and all those who entered. I’d also like to thank our media partners and sponsors for their dedicated support.”
This year’s event will be a highlight of the app development and mobile calendar and promises to be an excellent opportunity for the mobile, media, digital and app development communities to gather and celebrate another year of innovation and hard work.
